UCLA has created a Graduate Programs in Bioscience consortium of ten Home Areas. Faculty in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine are affiliated with one or more of these Home Area, and prospective students interested in training with our faculty are directed to apply for graduate study to one of these Home Area. The Cellular and Molecular Pathology Graduate Program in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCLA offers a program providing excellent guidance, support and training to graduate students interested in research focused on the cellular and molecular basis of disease. The CMP Graduate Program prides itself on a distinguished faculty who are committed to excellent, innovative teaching and research and who also place a high premium on student advising, mentoring and individual student development. Throughout the program, students will learn and develop the skills essential to become a practicing scientist.
