The California Nanosystems Institute (CNSI)

The mission of the CNSI is to encourage university collaboration with industry and to enable the rapid commercialization of discoveries in nanosystems. CNSI members represent a multi-disciplinary team of some of the world's most preeminent scientists from the life and physical sciences, engineering, and medicine.  The work conducted at the CNSI represents world-class expertise in four targeted areas of nanosystems-related research including Energy, Environment, Health-Medicine, and Information Technology.  Read more>>

The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI)

UCLA CTSI is an academic-community partnership to accelerate scientific discoveries and clinical breakthroughs to improve health and health care in Los Angeles, the most populous county, and among the most diverse, in the United States. Its mission is to create a borderless clinical and translational research institute that brings UCLA resources and innovations to bear on the greatest health needs of Los Angeles. The Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (JCCC)

The mission of the JCCC is to support basic, cancer-related research and to translate discoveries to the treatment of cancer. In order to facilitate this mission, the JCCC is organized into various program areas that are co-directed by basic research and clinical faculty. Pathology faculty have major leadership roles in the JCCC, and the Translational Pathology shared resource, which provides a reliable and continuous source of remnant human tissues for biomedical research and is directed by and housed in the department.
