Pathology and Lab Medicine IT provides service to the School of Medicine and the Medical Center. We manage the anatomical pathology and clinical laboratory information systems (LIS) as well as integrated applications which include supporting the users that access them. The major applications that the department supports are Meditech, RALS, PIK, PowerPath, Winscribe, Safetrace TX, El Dorado Donor, Donor Docs, Vista, Hemasphere, Hematrax, Histotrac, Star LIMS, Daedalus, Crimson, Aperio, and Leica. Currently the department also supports about 1300 users, 1500 computers, 100 servers, 500 printers including barcode printers as well as other miscellaneous devices. The main facilities we service are the Center for Health Sciences, Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center, Brentwood Annex, 924 Westwood Blvd Building (BoA), and BURL Labs. We also support over 200 clinics and outreach facilities as well as telepathology. In conjunction with supporting the IT infrastructure for these locations, we provide data mining resources to support patient care, research and finance as needed.
